2026 AARP Tax Program:
Monday and Thursday afternoons from February 2nd 2026 through April 13th 2026
The Solvang Senior Center will once again host the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program which offers free Federal and California income tax preparation to low- and moderate-income taxpayers. The focus is on assisting seniors, but taxpayers of all ages are welcome.
Tax returns will be prepared on Monday and Thursday afternoons at the American Legion Wing, Solvang Veterans Hall, 1745 Mission Drive, by IRS certified volunteers. The period of operation will be February 2 to April 13, 2026 between 1:00 and 3:00pm.
Tax clients must bring their Social Security cards, valid picture ID, records of 2025 wages (W-2 forms) and all 1099 forms received which report income such as interest, dividends, pensions/annuities, social security and IRAs, California Franchise Tax Board, as well as copies of 2024 Federal and State tax returns. A voided check for direct bank deposit and/or debit is also requested.
